Job Title: Early Childhood Specialist
Salary/Wage: $10.00-$12.00 per hour
Status: Full time/ 40 hours per week

Program Description: KCFS collaborates with child care community, parents, and community partners to maximize child care quality throughout Kershaw County: Program assessment, technical assistance, training, and parent outreach/education
Job Qualifications:
-Associate Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Related field
-At least two years experience in Child Care
-- Ability to work as a team player with staff and clients
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
-Flexible and customer-oriented
-Ability to work under deadlines (multi-task)
-Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
-Ability to problem solve through analysis, investigation of facts and ongoing feedback
-Strong skills in teaching/training
-Knowledge of community resources helpful
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Work closely with program team to develop and implement a recruitment plan and coordinate services for potential clients
-Oversees and coordinates the development and preparation of teaching and visual aids, instructional materials, computer tutorials, and reference materials appropriate to specific program objectives
-Implement case management services to child care programs
-Provides independent technical advice, consultation, and individualized assistance to clients
-Participates in State and county committees and advisory boards, and contributes to the development of policies and program initiatives related to county education within areas of professional specialty
-Assist with Grant writing to supplement program needs
-Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
-Self-starter
-Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment (some off site work is required)
-The work requires moderate physical exertion
-Vehicle required (reimbursement for travel more than10 miles from office)
-Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends
-Fingerprint & Background checks required

Job Title: Family Service Specialist/ Home visitor
Salary/Wage: $10-12 per hour
Status: Full time/ 40 hours per week

Program Description: KCFS will work collaboratively with agency partners, the faith community, and the private sector to support families in their own efforts to maximize the school readiness, well being and long term academic success of Kershaw County children: early literacy, parent coaching, home visitation, and health assessment
Job Qualifications:
-Associate’s Degree or higher in Family Services, Early Childhood or Related Field
-At least two years experience in child care and/or family services
- Ability to work as a team player with staff and clients
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)

-Work is normally performed offsite (client homes, child care programs, or at partner agencies) some on site work is required)
-The work requires moderate physical exertion
-Vehicle required (reimbursement for travel more than 10 miles from office)
-Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends
